NAME UNVEILING CEREMONY FOR
“THE WALL OF THE FALLEN” MEMORIAL

CHATTANOOGA, TN – The International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum has officially unveiled the first addition of names on the “Wall of the Fallen” Memorial Wall that was originally dedicated on September 9th, 2006.

At a memorable and emotional ceremony, 94 names were unveiled on bronze nameplates as hundreds of people watched.  The Flag Truck also unfurled for the first time the office flag of the U.S. Department of Transportation in a fitting tribute to our fallen towing operators.

This ceremony was the first annual name unveiling and will continue to be held every year in the City of Chattanooga on the 3rd Saturday in September.

The Wall of the Fallen
The “Wall of the Fallen” is a memorial wall that will display the names of towers across the world who have died in the line of service. The wall will be unveiled on September 9, 2006 during TowFest in Chattanooga, TN. Along with this wall, the museum has also decided to start up a Survivor Fund for the families of those men and women who have died in the line of service. More information on this vital project is on the way.
